Stop letting an old injury determine what you can and cannot do. You have a choice!
Core Medical Center may have the solution to life limiting injuries.
Stem Cell & PRP Therapy

At Core Medical Center, our focus is always to offer the best medical care for our patients. To continuously offer the best medical care, we stay on top of the most recent medical studies and advancements. Our goal is to help patients reach their full healing potential without the unwanted side effects. Especially those associated with pain medications or invasive surgical procedures.

Are you suffering from degeneration, joint, muscle, ligament, cartilage, tendon, muscle, and nerve damage? Core Medical Center is using PRP and Stem Cell Therapy, a form of Regenerative Medicine, to heal our patients in a new way. It’s time to discover modern, natural treatment that improves healing and promotes tissue regeneration.

What is stem cell and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy?

PRP Therapy (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

PRP is comprised of powerful growth factors that provide enormous healing and regenerative benefits. When introducing growth factors to areas that have an acute or chronic injury, our patients experience healing benefits that they couldn’t obtain from traditional medicine. These growth factors provide more dramatic healing because they are actually a natural component of our blood. These cells are harvested from the patient in a concentration that is 3-4 times greater when isolated correctly. So, when we inject the growth factors into the area of injury, these cells work at a much greater capacity. The result is tissue healing that would not otherwise be possible.

Our FDA-Approved Collection Technique

Here at Core Medical Center, we use Harvest Technologies—a proprietary method of collecting the cells that make up PRP. In clinical studies, the Harvest Technologies collection method has shown a higher concentration of PRP when compared to 12 other collection methods. That means higher PRP cell counts, resulting in a more potent injection.

What does PRP therapy treat?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) can be used to increase and speed the ability to heal from many common injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. Stem Cells can also treat these injuries and provide even better results:

•  Sprains and strains  •  Back and neck injuries  •  Diabetic neuropathy  •  Carpal Tunnel Syndrome  •  Chronic plantar fasciitis  •  Heel pain  •  Tendon injuries  •  Chronic joint pain  •  Hip injuries  •  Tennis and golfer’s elbow  •  Achilles tendonitis  •  Jumper’s knee  •  Ligament tears, injuries  •  Lumbar, spine, disc pain and dysfunction  •  Rotator cuff injuries  •  Muscle injuries  •  Pulled hamstring  •  Shoulder injuries  •  ACL injuries  •  Joint injuries  •  Quadriceps injuries  •  Arthritis  •  Osteoarthritis  •  Rheumatoid Arthritis  •  Fractures  •  Post-surgery healing  •  Soft tissue damage  •  Wounds  •  Burns  •  Aesthetic, antiaging applications  •  And much more!

Stem Cell Therapy

Stem cells are cells in your body that have not yet differentiated into a specific type of cell. We obtain them from either the patient’s own adipose tissue or bone marrow. So, stem cells can transform into any type of cell when placed in the right environment.

What does stem cell therapy treat?

Stem Cells can treat any area in the body, and virtually regenerate that tissue. At Core Medical Center, we use Stem Cell Therapy to treat neuromuscloskeletal conditions, including those listed above. Although Stem Cells can become any tissue type, some of the desired tissue must still be present for the stem cells to copy them. Otherwise, they cannot transform into those cells and regenerate the desired tissue. For example, if there is no meniscal tissue left in the knee joint, stems cells cannot regrow the meniscal tissue. Because there is no tissue for the stem cells to copy, it cannot transform into that specific type of cell.

PRP and Harvested Stem Cells combined in the same injection provide a very powerful regenerative result. PRP and Stem Cells can be used in joints, muscles, cartilage, ligaments, and tendons to treat Osteoarthritis, Degenerative Joint Disease and, in some cases, nerves. At Core Medical Center, we focus on patient injuries in all of these areas. With the help of image-guided needle placement, we ensure precision placement with each injection.

PRP and Stem Cell Therapy offer a wide variety of benefits both together and separate:

• Non-surgical approach to treating injuries and chronic pain  •  Derived from the patient’s own blood (PRP)  •  Stem cells derived from adipose tissue or bone marrow  •  Decreased recovery time when used during surgical procedures  •  Safer than cortisone injections  •  No long-term pain medication  •  Regeneration of tissue

Using physical medicine to enhance results

At Core Medical Center, we combine stem cell therapy and PRP therapy with physiotherapy, bracing (if need be) and, in some cases, medicine and chiropractic care. These options are all available depending on the type of injury and the extent of the care you require. Patients have a greater chance of success by increasing the range of motion in the joint and strengthening the supportive joint structures. This dual approach can alleviate the potential cause that led to the tissue degeneration. Core Medical Center’s approach adds longevity to the procedure and decreases the risk of redeveloping degenerative changes in the same area.

Post-procedure care is vital to achieving the desired result. So at Core Medical Center, we take this part very seriously. Post-procedure care is individualized based on the location being treated. Your Core Medical Center doctor will provide thorough post-procedure instructions on the day of your procedure. It is essential that you follow your post-procedure instructions carefully to ensure the best possible outcome.

Most patients will see results in as little as 4 weeks! And regeneration may continue to improve for up to 6 months. The rate at which regeneration and healing occur can vary based on several factors, such as adherence to post-procedure orders, the degree of injury, viability of stem cells and the area that is being treated. If the desired results are not achieved, your Core Medical Center doctor will determine if another injection could be beneficial. Once treated, your results are permanent unless the cause of injury remains. This is why we strongly suggest corrective exercise to be completed at Core Medical Center while you are healing.

Stem cells, like other medical products that are intended to treat, cure, or prevent disease, generally require FDA approval before they can be marketed. The FDA has not approved any stem cell-based or regenerative medicine products for use, other than cord blood-derived hematopoietic progenitor cells (blood forming stem cells) for certain indications.
