Cost per unit?
BOTOX® $10 a unit. If it is a specialty injection those prices will vary because they are based on expert training not the units used. These injections are more sophisticated and require a seasoned injector to administer and achieve the desired results.
Where is it used?
In cosmetics, BOTOX® and Dysport® have several uses. Currently they are only FDA-approved for glabellar complex (between the eyes), the lateral canthal rhytids (crow’s feet) and forehead. There are several locations that BOTOX® can have a positive effect, however, these locations are considered off label but have been widely used by practitioners for years with great results.

KYBELLA® is the only FDA-approved injectable prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin. This nonsurgical approach is a permanent way to get rid of unwanted submental fat that can make you look older and unfit.
Before Treatment / Mid Treatment / After Treatment
How many treatments does it take?
This is a tailored treatment that is dependent on the severity of the submental area. The number of injections and treatments should be tailored to the individual patient’s submental fat distribution and treatment goals. On average 3 treatments are required for mild or moderate cases but patients with more severe submental fat could need 3-4 treatments and no more than 6. Treatments are no less than 4 weeks apart.
What is the down time?
KYBELLA® is a nonsurgical outpatient procedure that requires little to no down time. The most common responses upon receiving the injection include: temporary swelling and numbness. All of these resolve in 4-6 weeks, in most cases.
